Operation Encompass

The purpose of Operation Encompass at Ditton Nursery School is to safeguard and support children who have been involved in a domestic abuse incident. Following an incident at home, children will often arrive at school unsettled and upset. 

Operation Encompass has been developed so that Key Adults in schools receive an Operation Encompass report at the time of the incident from the Police. This knowledge, given through Operation Encompass, allows the provision of immediate early intervention as appropriate to the child. 

The Designated Safeguarding Lead, Liane Johnson is the 'Key Adult' for Operation Encompass supported by the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads Samantha Rutter, Emma Mitchell and Catherine Kenny. We are keen to offer the best support possible to all our children and we believe this will be extremely beneficial for all those involved.
