Early Years Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is funding to improve the educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England.

At Ditton Nursery School, we receive an extra £378 for every eligible pupil.

You can apply for early years pupil premium if your child is aged 3 or 4 and you get 15 hours free childcare.

You must also get at least one of the following:

You may also get early years pupil premium if your child is currently being looked after by a local authority in England or Wales or if your child has left care in England or Wales through:

  • adoption
  • special guardianship order
  • a child arrangements order

We use this extra money to provide additional opportunities and support for our eligible pupils through targeted support such as Speech and Language interventions, small nurture groups, sports skills sessions, stay and play sessions, parents' meetings, access to trips, access to resources such as SEN resources and book bags.

For further information, please see our Pupil Premium Stategy Statement below which details how we are spending our money and our Review of Pupil Premium which details the impact this funding has had.

If you have any further questions, please contact Mrs Johnson, our Pupil Premium Lead, via the school office.
